This marinade is so perfect for any steak cut that you have in your freezer. Take it out, pop it in a Ziplock bag with this easy marinade for an hour or so (or more, the longer the better) and then cook it up quick and hot on a bed of onions. Serve it up with your favorite veggie, salad, starch - anything! It's so good! This marinade does a good job of tenderizing the meat and making it mouthwatering!
Prep time: 10 minutes & 1 hr for marinade
Cook time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
1 1/2 lb steak of choice
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water
2 Tbs Sesame or Peanut oil
2 Tbs Honey
1 Tbs minced garlic
2 Tsp fresh ginger -or- 1/4 Tsp ground ginger
-1 Yellow onion, cubed
-2 Tbsp olive oil
Instructions
-Trim fat from steak
-Cut steaks into serving portions -or- bite size pieces
-Mix all ingredients for marinade in a medium bowl
-Place meat in a 1-gallon Ziplock bag
-Add marinade
-Place in refrigerator
-Allow to marinate for at least 1 hour
-In a large frying pan add oil, heat to medium, add onion
-Sauté until onion is translucent, approximately 5 minutes
-Turn heat to high
-Add meat
-Sauté, stirring constantly for approximately 5 minutes (for bite size pieces) or until steak is medium rare. For whole steaks turn after 2 1/2 minutes. Cook to your liking (rare, medium, etc.)
-Serve with your veggie and starch of choice
-Enjoy!
