Meatballs

Updated: Dec 5, 2020

This recipe is so versatile! Serve them as a party appetizer with dipping sauce. Add your favorite marinara sauce for spaghetti and meatballs. Make some meatball sub sandwiches. Use them as a base for stroganoff or a Swedish meatball dish. OR serve them plain! They are so moist and packed with flavor they don’t need a sauce!

Ingredients

1 lb ground meat

¼ cup cooked bacon crumbles or bacon bits

2 eggs, beaten

½ cup milk

½ cup cheese (I like parmesan or shredded cheddar)

1 cup Italian style bread crumbs

1 yellow onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, diced

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp basil

1 tsp garlic salt

¼ tsp pepper

Instructions

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees

-In a small bowl whisk eggs and milk together

-In a large bowl add all other ingredients then add egg mixture

-Mix thoroughly

-Using a melon ball scoop (or spoon for larger meatballs) shape to desired size

-Place on an ungreased cookie sheet (use parchment paper for easy clean up)

-Bake for 30 minutes or until cooked (note larger meatballs will take a little longer to cook)

-Enjoy!

Pairs well with baked goat cheese dip and stuffed mushrooms for the perfect party platter!
